The Brunei Darussalam Government Scholarship 2025-26 provides a fully funded opportunity for international students, covering:

  • Full Tuition Fee Waiver – Includes registration, examination, and orientation costs.

  • Free Economy-Class Airfare – Covers travel from the recipient’s home country to Brunei and return upon completion of the program.

  • Monthly Allowance – BND $500 per month.

  • Meal Allowance – BND $150 per month.

  • Annual Book Allowance – BND $600 per year.

  • Accommodation – Provided at the university’s residential college.

  • Baggage Allowance

    • BND $250 for students from ASEAN countries.

    • BND $500 for students from non-ASEAN countries.

Eligibility Criteria

  • International students can apply for scholarships in Brunei.
  • For undergraduate and diploma programmers, students’ ages must be between 18 and 25.
  • For post-graduate master’s degree programs, you must not exceed 35 years of age.
  • You must not be a permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam.

  • The applicants first need to download the application form from the website.
  • You must provide personal details, educational experience, and language proficiency details.
  • You are required to fill all the fields with due care.
  • It would help if you mentioned the first choice and second choice programmes of study and the university.
  • Your complete application form must be endorsed either by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the National Focal Point.
  • You must submit the security clearance statement from your National Security Agency or police station in your country.
  • All supporting documents should be in the form of Word, PDF, or JPG format.
